Glamping in Laguna

Have you heard GLAMPING? It is the shortcut to Glamorous Camping. First introduced in Africa, where tents are being set up in the middle of safari to accommodate the tourists who wish to spend more time with the nature(and animals). Most amenities of a standard or luxury can be found inside like airconditioning unit, clean bathroom, and comfortable bed. Others even have personal buttler.

Well, you can also experience the same as there is a newly opened "Glamping" site just less than 2 hours away from Manila. - The Blue Hotel.

(grabbed from their fb page)

Samkara Restaurant and Nature Resort

On the boundary of Majayjay (Laguna) and Lucban (Quezon) lies a secret sanctuary called Samkara Restaurant and Garden Resort. A very new place, offering a serene ambiance overlooking a rice farm and a natural (small) river. They have various rooms equipped with top of the line linens and mattresses, flat screen TV, hot and cold shower and toiletries, Some rooms have air conditioning unit while other are naturally cooled huts.

Below are some of the actual photos i took during the recent visit

Pinto Art Museum : The door to the artistic world

Pinto art gallery is located at the mountainous city of Antipolo. Just an hour drive from Quezon city.

I am not an art fanatic, it is my curiosity about this place that brought me here. It is just a side trip because i have a business meeting around this place.

The gallery is located inside the village but you'll never get lost. There is an entry fee of 20pesos per car for non resident. After the entry gate, on the first corner to the right you will see lots of car parked along the road, then you are on the right place.

Entrance fee to the gallery is 180 pesos per adult. There is a discounted price for students, senior citizen and disabled. Just don't forget to bring your ID.

Here are some of the photos i took on my 1hour journey inside.

This is the Gallery 1. Showcasing a gigantic painting. The gallery is like an auditorium, there are a lot of sitting area for observers.

Gallery 2 is more about sculpturs and modern media.

Gallery 3. features 3D art. sculptures. I was amazed of the "hallowman". Made of    artistically crafted wires.

Gallery 4. Rebellious Art.

10 Reasons Travel Agents Are Better Than the Internet

While you might put travel agent right up there with VCR repair man and video store clerk on the list of jobs that have gone the way of the Yellow Pages, there's a reason you still see them wedged into strip malls between your Supermarket and the new David's Salon. Turns out that -- even in a world where everybody coordinates their own vacation plans -- travel agents account for about one-third of the travel industry's revenue. Seriously, in 2015. Who knew.
Not only can they do things the Internet can't, but they also still collect a lot of their fees from vendors, which means... best part, they don't even charge you! Which is why we've compiled these 10 reasons you might want to go old-school and let a travel agent plan your next trip.

crazy Phillipine Immigration personnel

One of the Benefits of my employees in my Travel Agency are travel opportunities. My staff Anie will be going to Hong Kong as an incentive trip for being the highest earner for the year.

Her flight was March 23,2015 5:45am via Cebu Pacific. She arrived at the airport 3hours before the flight. The check in was smooth. But when she was at the immigration counter, the issue came in. She was not allowed by the immigration officer to pass thru even after showing the requirements which are the roundtrip ticket and hotel reservation.

Caffe Piansa : The First Jail Restaurant in Town

Who the heck would want to eat in a jail? This one is different.

A special themed restaurant recently opened in Marikina. The first jail restaurant in town. Interiors are designed with metal bars, there is a court room, a mug shot area, and an electric chair (made of wood) :)

As for the menu, they have wide selections of pizza, pasta, rice meals, steaks, desserts and drinks.

We asked for their house specialty on rice as it is for our dinner. They suggested the Korean Barbeque and Shrimp Themidore.  We also ordered chicken fingers for little Sam.

Saturday Art day : Clay Hand Print

Found this handprint kit while looking for a toy for my daughter. I've been looking for a kit like this for quite some time and glad I found one.

This is the actual box. Php 329.75 at Toy Kingdom

What's inside the box.
3packs of 100ml plaster powder
1 moulding tray
2 templates frame
1 frame stand
1 alphabet sticker
1 double suded sticky tape
1 detailed instructions

I used the baby feeding bottle to measure the water.

Poured out 2 packs of plaster powder and gradually adding water little by little to control the consistency of the mixture.

When the mixture becomes smooth paste, it is ready to pour into the mould.

Have settled for 3-5mins before putting the hands to make a perfect mould.

Press the hand firmly into the mould.

After removing the hands, let the mould dry for 20-30minutes.

Decorate.
