Her flight was March 23,2015 5:45am via Cebu Pacific. She arrived at the airport 3hours before the flight. The check in was smooth. But when she was at the immigration counter, the issue came in. She was not allowed by the immigration officer to pass thru even after showing the requirements which are the roundtrip ticket and hotel reservation.
This is her first time to go out of the country and travelling alone. She was accused that she will go to DUBAI or some middle east country and look for work. The IO even asked the opinion of his partner at the counter and convinced that Anie will be one of those traveller who will use Hong Kong as the jump off point to Dubai.

Anie: Sir ano po kulang sa requirement ko anjan naman po ang ticket at hotel voucher ko.
IO(immigration officer) : Pupunta ka sa Dubai ano?
Anie: Sir hindi po. may trabaho po ako dito as a travel agent. eto po ID ko. incentive trip po ito kasi employee of the year ako. ( showing the photo on her mobile of the throphy and certificate)
IO: hindi yan ang kailangan ko.Ipakita mo na kasi ang visa mo.
Anie: wala naman po ako ipapakita kasi wala talaga ako visa. kahit po buksan nyo pa ang bag ko.
IO: Mam, hindi po kme pwede mag search ng bag.
Anie: ano pa po ba kailangan ko ipakita na documents para ako makaalis?
IO: (wrote on a paper the additional requirements Anie should provide)
The list goes like this:
1. Company ID ✔️
2. Certifictae of Employment✔️
3. Approved leave form✔️
4. Latest ITR
5. SSS contribution
6. Photocopy of ID of Orsa Lia Sanuco(General Manager)
7. Confirmed hotel accommodation with receipt. ✔️the hotel reservation has no receipt as it is FOC)
Was he serious about the SSS contribution??
Who the heck would bring a SSS contribution list on her travel??
These immigration officers are power tripping. They are blocking the right to travel of an individual. Those who are righteous to travel are offloaded and some high ranking government official, criminal or "VIP" with hold departure order were allowed to go. Kelan magkakaron ng hustisya at pantay na karapatan sa bansang ito?
