Tokachi Sahoro Resort (Japan)

Stayed on this resort hotel for one night during our Hokkaido Tour.  A bit far from the city but they have facilities such as restaurants, onsen, spa, ski center during winter, souvenir shop, ballroom.

Each room has night clothes provided - actually most hotels in Japan have. Toilets are push button controlled.

Special feature in the bathroom is the mirror, that after you shower, the full mirror should be moisten, but in Japan, a specific area is kept clear even after you shower.

Hokkaido Japan Itinerary

Going to Japan is one of the dreams of most Filipinos. I was privileged to experience one of the best cities of Japan - HOKKAIDO. We went there for 5 days and 4 nights.

It is supposed to be a direct flight via Philippine Airlines maiden flight, but there were some problems that is beyond our control. We were placed on a connecting flight via Tokyo. It took us almost the whole day to reach Hokkaido.

Here is the day to day itinerary we had.

Farm Tomita

This is the Lavender farm where you can see colorful plants carefully designed to tempt your eyes for unlimited pictures. hey also offer lavender ice cream, lavender oils, pillows, perfumes and many more lavender by products.

Lavender Fields
We are lucky to visit this place in full bloom. (June - October) Lined with various plants particularly designed, this 12 hectares plantation can be explored by a pen air coach that goes around every 30 minutes to show the best spot to appreciate the place. There are also other activities such as ATV ride, souvenir shop, and fruit stand.

Blue Pond
Blue pond is a man-made pond feature in Biei Hokkaido, Japan. It is the result of world on the Biei River, carried out after the 1988 eruption of Mount Tokachi to protect the town from volcanic mudflows. Reaching the pond will walk you through the tiny pathway mostly slippery. But a little caution will bring you to the wonderful view of the river. Be sure to get the right angle to see the best bluish photo of the Blue Pond.

Shirihage Waterfalls
Shirihage Falls is a waterfall at about 600 m above sea level in Shirogane Onsen. Biei town located in the southeastern part of Asihakawa City and was name after splashes of the falls like the white mustache. The view from the top is at its best where you can see the "white beard" image, and the flowing blue river.

Mount Moiwa Ropeway
Mount Moiwa is one of the several small forested mountains southwest if central Sapporo. The mountain is a popular sightseeing spot that is known for the spectacular view out over the city from an observation deck at its summit. The view is specially beautiful after sunset. This is one of the spots where the movie "Kita Kita" did their "saging anat puso" scene.
From the first station, you will ride a unique mini cable car, then elevator to reach the viewing deck.  You should ring the bell and make a wish.
