DIY Egypt Costume for kids school play

So, Sam arrived home with a note on her notebook about this egypt costume. We went to Marikina Market to search for the costume. But most of the costume i found was either too short, too long, the cloth is too thin, the accessories are incomplete, the color is not right. Then i decided i will make my own. Buying just the basic stuff and personalize it according to Sam's requirement.

Materials:
White satin cloth
Blue soft tulle
Golden wavy lace

Accessories
Head dress(with snake accent)
Additional beads(yellow)
snake armband
cardboard
yellow foil paper
blue foil paper

Glue
Scissors
tape measure
pencil
thread and needle

Instructions
1. Fold the white cloth into two. Measure the width and height of your child. lay flat and cut into rectangle. (no curves needed.) Do a running stitch on the edges to avoid misthreading of the cloth.

2. The blue cape. fold the blue cloth in half. When you found the middle, make a grip and seal it using the wave golden lace. This will serve as the holding position at the back of the costume. At both ends, make a circle from the gold wavy ribbon where your kid can put on their fingers. No need to seam the edges. But if you have time, you can do so,

3. Head dress. I bought this one very plain and basic. I added some beads to make it look grand.

4. Necklace , belt and wrist band. These golden acccesories are made of cardboard and foil papers. Measure your kids dimension so it will fit perfectly on them.I used recycled folder here. Then cover it with the foil. Make added details by cutting blue diamonds and placing it over the golden foil. White glue will stick the foil together. Use a scotch tape to tuck in foil to the folder.

Be creative in putting your own design to the costume.
