I had this opportunity to visit several hotels in Bohol giving me a glimpse of what they can offer and what is unique with each of them. This is my 4th time in Bohol and it never fails to amaze me with their diverse attractions, resorts, natural wonders, historical pieces and most specially the people who are genuinely warm and hospitable.
South Palms Resort, situated on the island of Panglao is one of the few 4-stars resort with a long shoreline of calm ocean breeze and white sandy paths. They are not your usual building type resort rather all the 90 rooms are on the bungalow type accommodation spawning around the property of luscious coconut trees, green grass and warm sands making it accessible to kids and adults alike without worrying of running into stairs or elevators.
Upon arrival, a welcome treat awaits guests with cold cucumber drink and the locally made peanut kisses. The multi lingual receptionist greets the guests together with the friendly bell boy who assists in the luggage.
Various amenities houses at the resorts giving guests no reason just to stay in the hotel and just worry about having fun. You can dip into several swimming pool depending on your mood which makes it really exciting.
You can never get hungry as they offer international cuisine on their restaurant or in the comfort of your room, if you are really lazy.
Trying the food is a must, and these surely are to die for - kebab, italian pizza and omellete sandwich at anytime of the day.
What is unique with South Palms is that they have a big, private, massage area surrounded with trees and overlooking the relaxing view of the ocean. Oh, i should've tried it.
The 700 meter shoreline makes it super convenient to just chill out and spend your day without worrying about anything (supposed to be, lol) Having these atmosphere gives your mind a time off for anything even just for a day. (NOTE: turn of your mobile phone for maximum relaxation experience)
They have lounging area, swing bed, and hammock located around the resort just waiting for you.
The overall experience is something I will definitely share. When its good, it should be shared.
