Calinisan Resort Hotel - An Escape to the Lake

A 2.5-hours drive from Antipolo City without traffic or stop over brought us to this amazing place, Calinisan Resort Hotel. This is our first family getaway after we were all stucked up for several lockdown at different level. Also, our first out of town trip for the year to celebrate my husbands birthday.

Having an itchy feet, we always tend to go out of town or explore places once or twice a month but the current situation of the Covid-19 health restrictions had limited our movement. Doing this trip has been carefully planned and researched to make sure we meet the requirements so that we all had fun specially the kids.

Arriving the resort around 6:45am, we were greeted by the guard, checked our temperature and received a go signal to move forward. Having known that our group is the only expected guests for the day (it is thursday by the way), allowed us not to wear masks at the resort. Our group is only 10, by the way. Including 3 kids and a month-old baby.. We are relieved that we can move around freely without our masks like the usual.

The resort has 3 pools which is one is covered best for those who hated the sun, 1 3-level-high slide, pool bar, functiom rooms, accessible toilet and shower area, lots of seating space, team building facilities, wide grass lawn perfect for weddings and the great view of the Taal Lake and Taal Volcano.

The proximity of this property to the Volcano which erupted early 2020 is so close that I can feel how devastated it was during the eruption but was amazed by how it was maintained and recovered nearly 12months after. They should have stand to their name - Calinisan (Clean). Well done to the management of this resort.

They also have several rooms to choose from for the guests who wanted to stay overnight which can cater from small to large groups in one room. Check out the rates here.
Overall, we had a great experience on this resort and will surely come back. Kids have fun swimming, enjoyed climbing the nets and most of all, we have the place all for ourselves. That is the good side of going of weekdays (aside from the current Covid situation). Even before Covid, I always choose weekday and I'm not afraid for my kids to be absent at school. Most teachings comes from outside the school and having these experiences are priceless.
