Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and a lot more – Social media platforms
surely have accommodated entrepreneurs to promote their own businesses. From casually
watching video clips from social media platforms, now comes the addition of
unskippable advertisements that promote products you’ll never be interested in any way; the business game has changed. Just a bit more, and who knows, in the
future, you might get an ad every time you send a message to someone.
All jokes aside,
social media is a pretty important place to consider if you’re trying to
recruit customers for your business. According to GlobalWebIndex, the average person spends 3 hours on social networks
and messaging. This is a very decent timeframe to entice your target market as
more people are exposed to social media marketing. Comparing this to going all
the effort to design a flyer or a brochure that you’d hand out to people,
unwary of whether they would actually take time to read and digest the content,
connecting with people through social media might considerably be much easier
and faster; not to mention, might actually be more effective.
That said, why
don’t you try it yourself? Your business may grow to your likings!
“But wait, you
haven’t even told me how to actually increase business sales through social
media!” You’re right; so without further ado, here are some ways to increase
business sales through social media:
Start with your family and friends
According to HubSpot, 81% of consumers trust what
their family or friend has recommended to them. Trust is an important aspect to
have in your business relationship with your customers. Fortunately, you
already have that with your peers or family, which translates to one less
problem. They will also serve as a great primary source for your product or
service’s feedback. If all goes well, they might suggest it to other sets of
peers as well, keeping the market growing.
Don’t try to
cheat or abuse them for the purpose of illegal profit though! You wouldn’t want
to destroy your relationship just because of your business, would you?
Be active
You can’t just
leave your product/service promotion with a single post or two. With the
millions of entrepreneurs lurking in social media platforms, there is no doubt
that your business will be overshadowed.
Learn to connect
with potential customers. Give a reply to their inquiry or take note of their
feedback. Keeping rapport with the consumers will help you build a good
business relationship with them. This serves as a great advantage as loyal
customers earn you more profit than those of new ones.

Yes, it is kind
of ironical that I included this in the list as I just had a mini-rant prior.
However, with the growing population of new entrepreneurs, the competition
toughens. You really have to get in the thoughts of people even if it means
mildly interrupting their activity. Inquirers don’t always come by the door so
you should be the one to take action by reaching out to them. Who knows, they
may actually be finding something similar to the product/service you are offering.
